Staff Oncologist - Outpatient Oncology in Brattleboro, VT

• Location: Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, 17 Belmont Avenue, Brattleboro, VT 05301
• Start Date: Flexible
• End Date/Duration: Ongoing
• Shift: Part-time (~24 hours/week)
• Hours/Week: 24 hours
• Employment Type: Part-Time
• License/Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology
• Experience: Demonstrated clinical expertise in oncology preferred

• Pay Package: $1.00 per hour (note: pay details provided; see below)
• Additional Compensation: Competitive salary range $250,000 - $350,000 annually (pro-rated for part-time)

• Diagnose and stage various cancers using clinical assessments, imaging, and lab tests
• Develop personalized treatment plans including chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
• Manage treatment side effects and provide supportive care to improve quality of life
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and outlooks
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and navigators to coordinate care
• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
• Stay updated on current clinical guidelines and advancements in oncology
• Mentor and guide other healthcare professionals in oncology practices

• Medical license in Vermont;
  Board Certification or Eligibility in Oncology
• Minimum of 2+ years relevant experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Compassionate patient communication and teamwork abilities
• Not open to candidates who commute more than 1 hour, or working in conjunction with other jobs

This position is based at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, a caring community facility serving southeastern Vermont and neighboring areas in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality outpatient oncology care, with opportunities for research and professional development in a supportive setting.
