The Kingdom East School District, Student Services, is seeking Intensive Instructional Assistants (IIAs). Candidates must be energetic and love working with children. The IIA position’s purpose is to develop and interpret individual needs of our youngest students in the early childhood classrooms or support students with special needs by helping to create and implement behavior and/or instructional support programs with consultation with the grade level special educator and classroom teacher.
Applicants must successfully complete the Para Pro assessment or have an associate’s or higher degree. The IIA provides observable student data that meet the IEP Program goals of students with developmental delay and/or other special needs. The position targets goal‑directive services to assist students in accessing instruction in a developmentally appropriate, functional and independent manner. Background check, including fingerprinting, required upon employment.
Pay range: $19.95/hr–$25.80/hr.
The Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven pre‑K–8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools – Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy – or another high school of their choosing.
