Position: Part Time Adjunct Professor for EDU 2051 Teaching Methods I and EDU 2052 Teaching Methods II
Location: Randolph Center

The courses to be taught are EDU 2051 Teaching Methods I and EDU
2052 Teaching Methods II, which are cross listed with graduate credit courses. This means that the position requires the instructor to have both graduate and undergraduate students in the course. These courses are part of a series of 4 courses that prepare new CTE teachers coming from their professions to intellectually and emotionally engage their students in academically rigorous activities to teach 21st century skills.

All CTTEP course sizes are capped at 16 and the same group of students travel as one cohort from Teaching Methods 1 to Teaching Methods 2 within the same semester. Based on class sizes, the cohort may continue with the hired instructor through the summer and spring semesters but that is tbd based on cohort size. Content includes instructional planning, assessment, classroom management and instructional strategies as well as a foundation in CTE.

Minimum Degree

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a Masters degree in Education or related field. Career & Tech Ed teaching or administrative experience and/or experience teaching adult learners at the college level is highly preferred.

Salary:

Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
