Summary

Little Tot’s Academy is an early childhood education program designed to meet the developmental needs of children six weeks to school age. The emphasis of our program is on encouraging creative and expressive play through skill based learning. We are searching for Educators who will provide children with a broad range of opportunities that will enable them to build a solid foundation for their future.

Educators will support children through age appropriate projects, hands-on activities, and imaginative play. Educators will support children by guiding them through how to develop social skills, how to cope with feelings, and learn various techniques to successfully navigate normal experiences of childhood. Educators will encourage experimental learning, play, curiosity, and inquisitiveness. These skills will support children to be successful in school and throughout their life.

Duties
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Foster social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and guidance
  • Develop and implement classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
  • Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
  • Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences
  • Follow all state regulations and company policies
  • Ability to have fun
Requirements
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
  • A strong understanding of child development
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, orientation training, and mandating reporting training
  • Must clear full background check to include fingerprinting
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience
