The Craftsbury Town School District is seeking an art educator for grades K-12. The successful candidate will instruct students to create, connect, present, and respond to their own visual artwork independently and collaboratively. This position supports various community events, including artist-in-residence programming, the winter arts showcase, and the lantern parade. The Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union (OSSU) prides itself on its arts-focused curriculum and robust collaboration among its art educators, culminating in Art in Bloom, a supervisory union-wide annual celebration.
Craftsbury Schools (aka Craftsbury Academy) has been in existence since 1832 and serves around 200 students in grades PreK-12 across two campuses. The PreK-2nd graders meet on the campus located at 83 North Craftsbury Road, Craftsbury, VT, and the 3rd-12th graders meet at 1422 North Craftsbury Road, Craftsbury Common, VT.

Job Requirements- Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) license in Art Education, license 02-9. Licensed applicants are highly desired; applicants eligible for a temporary license may be considered.
- Must pass a full background check.
- Attendance at the 3‑day New Staff Orientation starting on August 17, 2026.
- Reliable transportation required to report to both campus sites.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
