White River Valley Middle School (WRVMS), located in Bethel, Vermont, is seeking a dynamic and committed Middle School Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about mathematics, inspired by collaboration, and dedicated to engaging students in meaningful and rigorous learning experiences.

About the Position:
This is a full-time position serving students in grades 6–8. The WRVMS math program emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and real-world application of mathematical thinking. Our approach prioritizes building strong mathematical foundations while fostering perseverance, flexible thinking, and confidence in all learners. Teachers work collaboratively to design and implement instruction that meets the diverse needs of middle school students and aligns with proficiency-based learning practices.

Support and Professional Development:
We are committed to supporting teachers with the tools and training needed to deliver high-quality math instruction. An incoming math teacher will receive ongoing professional development aligned with best practices in mathematics education, including opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the White River Valley Supervisory Union. We value continuous growth and provide structures for team planning, instructional coaching, and reflection.

• Hold or be eligible for a Vermont Educator’s License with an appropriate endorsement (grades 5-9 preferred)
• Bring experience or interest in implementing high-quality, standards-aligned math instruction
• Demonstrate a belief in meeting all learners where they are and guiding them to success
• Use data and formative assessment to inform instruction and support student growth
• Be a collaborative team member willing to grow with colleagues and students

White River Valley Middle School serves students from the towns of Bethel and Royalton in grades 6–8.
