Little Branches Learning Center, located in Woodstock, VT, is a faith-based early education center. We currently serve children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, in addition to children in our after-school program, and summer program, up to second grade.

We strive to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to each family.

We are looking for a highly motivated, full-time Teacher or Teacher Associate to join our teaching community. We currently are seeking someone with experience to lead our young infant class. As a Teacher or Teacher Associate, your daily interactions with the children will help to create a caring and safe environment and assist in activities to engage them in learning. You will use your ability to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment.

You will demonstrate love, kindness and patience in all interactions with children.

Your schedule would be Monday through Friday ranging from 8am to 5pm. We have flexibility with start times, depending on your availability. This is a 30-40 hour per week position.

Duties Variety of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, etc.

Implement a high-quality, faith-informed educational program

Develop positive relationships with families, children, and staff

Implement developmentally appropriate activities based on approved curriculum and assessments

Supervise actitives to ensure safety of the children

Maintain overall organization and cleanliness of the classrooms

Attend schedule staff meetings and in-service workshops

Complete at least 15 hours of approved professional development annually

Requirements

Teacher:

Have one of the following:

At least a Vermont Early Childhood Ladder Career Ladder Level Four, A or B certificate

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a major or concentration in Early Childhood, Child or Human Development, Elementary Education, Special Education, or Child and Family Services; and at least 12 months experience working with children from grade 3 or younger

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college with at least 30 college credits in early childhood or school age and at least 12 months experience with children from grade 3 or younger

Hold at least a current Vermont Agency of Education teaching license with an endorsement in Early Childhood, Early Childhood Special Education, or Elementary Education Clear background check and fingerprinting through the Child Development Division Complete Vermont Orientation training online prior to being left alone with children

Complete Vermont Mandated Reporter training for child abuse and neglect

Obtain certification in pediatric first aid and infant/child CPR within 6 months of date of hire

Be able to lift 35 pounds or more

Be able to move equipment or furniture for classroom activities and routine cleaning

Teacher Associate:

Be a high school graduate or have completed a GEDHave one of the following:

At least a Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level Three Certificate At least an associate degree from an accredited college with a major or concentration in Early Childhood, Child or Human Development, Elementary Education, Special Education, or Child and Family Services; and at least 12 months experience working with children from grade 3 or younger

At least a Certificate of Completion from the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program At least a Child Care Certificate from the Community College of Vermont and at least 12 months experience working with children from grade 3 or younger

At least successful completion of 21 college credits with an early childhood or school age focus and at least 12 months experience working with children from grade 3 or younger

Clear background check and fingerprinting through the Child Development Division Complete Vermont Orientation training online prior to being left alone with children

Complete Vermont Mandated Reporter training for child abuse and neglect

Obtain certification in pediatric first aid and infant/child CPR within 6 months of date of hire

Be able to lift 35 pounds or more

Nice To Haves Bachelor degree in ECE or related field preferred.
