The St. Johnsbury School District is located 2 minutes from Exit 21 on I-91. We have approximately 550 students in prek through 8th grade in our school. We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Long-Term Substitute Teacher for 6th Grade Humanities. This opening will begin August 19, 2026 and go to mid October 2026 (approximately 37 days). We have a strong middle grades team that includes special educators as well as behavior and academic support.
Qualified applicants must have a bachelor's degree. Educational experience in social studies and/or language arts as well as a passion for providing instruction and support to middle grade students. This is a licensed teaching position. Pay will be dependent on educational level and years of experience in the classroom.
This long term substitute position offers health insurance benefits and Vermont State Teachers Retirement System.
