Minimum Qualifications:
- 18+ years old
- High school graduate or GED
- Comfort working outdoors in all kinds of weather
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education
- Minimum of 12 months working with preschool aged children (outdoor setting a plus)
- Willingness to be flexible and work collaboratively on a team
- Professional communication skills
- Knowledge of the social emotional and developmental needs of preschool aged children
- Familiarity with child-led learning, emergent curriculum, and/or nature-based learning
- Supporting group management during outdoor play, hikes, and lunch
- Assisting with the implementation of summer camp activities
- Attending to the needs of preschool aged (Kinglets) or elementary aged (Coyotes) children in an empathetic and developmentally appropriate way
- Organizing and cleaning indoor/outdoor spaces and bathroom each day
- This is a 9 week position (June 15 - August 14)
- Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8am-2pm (Kinglets) or 8:30-2:30pm (Coyotes) - Hourly compensation commensurate with experience
Prior to commencing employment the candidate must pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
