Job DescriptionLyndon Town School, serving children in Pre‑K to grade 8, is seeking two educators to join our 3rd and 4th grade team for the 2026/2027 school year. We hire dynamic, inquisitive candidates committed to collaborative teaming, including a possibility of looping from 3rd to 4th grade with students. Experience with structured literacy, UFLI, workshop model, POA/PNOA, positive behavior interventions, and Responsive Classroom are a priority.
Interest in project based and outdoor learning is preferred. We seek creative, passionate teachers who love children, and with their team will provide a strong foundation to our intermediate students. A sense of humor and genuine love for working with young people is a necessity. The individual will be part of a team including other grade level teachers, special educators and interventionists.
The district provides mentorship and a supportive administration. The pay range for this position is $46,267‑$89,467.
Lyndon Town School is part of the Kingdom East School District, located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK‑8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools – Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy – or another high school of their choosing.
We are located about 3 hours from Montreal, Boston and Portland, ME. Our region is known for breathtaking views and access to great skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing and other outdoor opportunities. We are close to the White Mountains and the Green Mountains. Both Littleton, NH and St. Johnsbury, VT have numerous fine and performing arts venues. Our communities attract wholesome families, faculty and staff.
