- Provide individualized instruction to early childhood students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals and developmental milestones
- Use play-based and developmentally appropriate teaching strategies
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers (SLPs, OTs, PTs), and families
- Monitor and document student progress using data-driven practices
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment for young learners
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (minimum)
- Valid Vermont Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Experience or interest in early childhood, preschool, or special education settings preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
