Job Description

Are you passionate about language, culture, and inspiring students to become confident global communicators? We are seeking a dynamic and student-centered French Teacher for Grades 7–12 to join our dedicated educational team.

This full-time position includes teaching French 1, French 2, and French 3 courses at the high school level, as well as developing engaging exploratory/world language experiences for middle school students in grades 7–8. The successful candidate will also serve as a student advisor and contribute positively to our collaborative school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, standards-based French instruction aligned with proficiency‑based learning expectations.
  • Teach speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while fostering cultural understanding and global awareness.
  • Create exploratory language and culture courses for middle school students.
  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and multilingual learners.
  • Integrate technology and authentic resources to enhance language acquisition and student engagement.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with students and families.
  • Serve as an advisor supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, counselors, special educators, and administration to promote student success.
  • Participate actively in school initiatives, professional development, and faculty committees.

Salary: $50,140 to $95,940 Per Year

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, or related field required.
  • Applicants must currently hold or be eligible for the 06A:
    French – Modern and Classical Language endorsement.
  • Teaching certification/licensure in French or World Languages preferred.
  • Experience teaching middle and/or high school students preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging, inclusive, and student‑centered learning experiences.
  • Familiarity with proficiency‑based instruction and assessment practices is a plus.
  • Background Check Required.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
