Position: Digital Learning Specialist (0.8 FTE)

Marion Cross School is excited to announce an opening for a 0.8 FTE Digital Learning Specialist starting in August 2026!

We are looking for a Digital Learning Specialist who is dedicated to supporting both students and educators. This role includes collaborating with teachers to design engaging, technology-rich learning experiences, coaching staff in the effective use of digital tools, and promoting safe and responsible digital citizenship. The Digital Learning Specialist will also support school and district technology initiatives and contribute to a shared vision for meaningful technology integration.

This position is governed by the Norwich Teachers Association Agreement.

Salary range for this position is $42,113 to $83,876, depending on education and experience.

General Purpose:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must prepare students and educators to use computers and related technologies to improve their ability to integrate technology into their curriculum and classroom while simultaneously enhancing their professional growth and productivity.

Building Principal and Director of Educational Technology

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position:
  • As a digital designer, effectively use technology with differentiation, rigor, relevance, and engaging learning experiences in his or her practice of teaching, learning, and assessment by the ability to:
  • Design and implement digitally-based learning experiences with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments;
  • Model and promote the use of adaptive and assistive technologies and other digital tools and resources to personalize and differentiate activities for all learners;
  • Collaborate with other educators to help design and implement the student digital portfolio processes and procedures; and
  • Promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students' conceptual understanding.
