Job DescriptionThe Mount Abraham Unified School District is looking for an educational assistant for special education to join our team at Beeman Elementary School. The educational assistant will provide academic and behavioral support to students with an individualized education program under the direction of a professional staff member. Responsibilities include communication facilitation, carrying out programs designed by the teaching staff, managing behavior, teaching self-regulation skills, and supporting and facilitating social engagement with peers.
Physical responsibilities include lifting, carrying, personal care, and the ability to assess a situation and respond quickly.
Pay is based on education and experience. This position follows the school calendar.
