Job DescriptionThe Franklin Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking an Instructional Coach for the school year. The purpose of an instructional coaching model is to accelerate learning for all students by building teacher capacity through the implementation of effective instructional practices. Effective coaches are educators who serve in a leadership role, facilitating school reform and improving teacher effectiveness through co-planning, dialogue, questioning, data analysis, facilitation for examination of instructional practice, modeling, observation, and feedback.
EssentialDuties
- Provide leadership in implementing initiatives through designing and facilitating professional learning.
- Facilitate inquiry-based collaboration in professional learning communities.
- Collaboratively observe and examine instructional practice with teachers in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Promote instructional improvement, provide resources, and support methods for effective implementation.
- Improve teacher data literacy and capacity to make data-based instructional decisions.
- Support teachers through co-planning, demonstrations, co-teaching, observation and debrief.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

- Must hold current VT Teaching License with proper endorsement.
- At least 5 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Master degree preferred.
