Job DescriptionThe Kingdom East School District’s Student Services is seeking Intensive Instructional Assistants (IIA) to work at Lyndon Town School. The IIA will develop and interpret the individual needs of our youngest students in early‑childhood classrooms or support students with special needs by helping create and implement behavior and/or instructional support programs in consultation with the grade‑level special educator and classroom teacher.
Candidates must successfully complete the Para Pro assessment or hold an associate’s or higher degree. The IIA provides observable student data that meet the IEP program goals of students with developmental delay and/or other special needs. Position will target goal‑directive services to assist students in accessing instruction in a developmentally appropriate, functional and independent manner. Background check, including fingerprinting, is required upon employment.
Pay range: $19.95/hr – $25.80/hr.
Our school is part of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK‑8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have the “choice” to attend one of the traditional independent schools:
Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy, or another high school of their choosing.
