Johnson Elementary School is seeking a caring and collaborative para educator to work within our joyful community of learners. The ideal candidate will:

• Assist in the educational and social development of learners under the direction and guidance of the special educator and classroom teachers.
• Assist in supporting learners' Individual Education Plans under the direction of the classroom teacher and special educator.
• Provide support for the individual, small group, and classroom-size groups of learners inside and outside the classroom.
• Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists, occupational and physical therapists, to support learners.
• Assist and partner with classroom teachers to meet the needs of each individual.
• Use positive supports for learners with emotional or behavioral needs.

In addition, the ideal candidate will:

• Participate in all professional learning opportunities as designated.
• Perform all duties as assigned.
• Enjoy and collaborate within a learner-centered team environment.
