Job DescriptionThetford Elementary School is seeking to hire a qualified candidate to fill the position of Building Based Substitute for the school year.
The building based substitute teacher or paraprofessional is responsible for filling in for absent teacher(s) or support personnel, as assigned by the building administration. The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy working with students across all grade levels (Kindergarten through sixth grade) and will be able to substitute in all subject areas. Additionally, the ideal candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable to change based upon the building's needs.
CompensationThis position pays between $19.22 and $29.72 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined by the district’s collective bargaining agreement, which considers factors such as degree level and years of service.
Salary: $19 to $29 Per Hour

This position is part of the Orange East Education Association’s Support Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Thetford Elementary School serves 182 children in grades K-6 and has experienced teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff. Students continue their secondary education at Thetford Academy in grades 7-12.
