Okemo Mountain School is a winter term ski and snowboard academy located in Ludlow, VT. The classroom environment operates with a 2:1 student‑to‑teacher ratio, providing individualized instruction and personalized learning experiences. The academic year runs from November 2026 to April 2027, with the school day from 12:00 pm to 5:45 pm.

Position:
Part‑time classroom teacher relevant to middle and high school English and Social Studies.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Plan and deliver lessons that integrate English Language Arts and Social Studies content for a variety of grade levels.
• Use an integrated, student‑centered approach to curriculum and instruction.
• Assess student learning, adjust instruction, and create formative and summative assessments.
• Maintain communication with students and parents, building rapport and fostering a supportive learning community.
• Participate in professional development and collaborate with other staff to enhance program quality.

Nov 3 2027.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (advanced degree a plus).
• Teaching experience, preferably with mid‑to‑high school students.
• Citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa for the United States.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Tech‑savvy and willing to innovate in instruction and assessment.
• Highly organized, self‑motivated, and capable of multitasking.
