Description
The Vermont State University Music Business and Industry (MBI) Program on the Lyndon campus, within the Department of Art, Media, and Music Industries, seeks an accomplished vocalist with strong teaching and performance experience to teach applied voice beginning in the Fall 2026 semester. Student enrollment may vary from semester to semester.

Key Responsibilities- Provide weekly individual applied voice lessons to both music and non‑music majors in accordance with MBI program guidelines and expectations.
- Teach students at all levels of experience, from beginning to advanced.
- Select and guide students through appropriate repertoire across diverse contemporary styles.
- Support program recruitment efforts and assist with student preparation for performances.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active performer with expertise in a variety of contemporary vocal styles.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary repertoire appropriate for college‑level voice instruction.
- Master's degree or equivalent professional experience in an appropriate field.
- College‑level teaching experience preferred.
- Experience as a performing and/or recording artist in contemporary commercial music settings.
- Minimum of five years of experience teaching voice to students of diverse ages and skill levels.
