Special Ed Teacher | Bristol, Vermont

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in grades 7 and 8. Two dedicated educators are needed to work full-time with a manageable caseload of 10 students per teacher. The assignment runs from July 1st to June 11th, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact during the school year.

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with students in grades 7-8 strongly preferred
• Ability to tailor instruction to a diverse range of learning needs and styles
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and staff
• Proven organizational skills and flexibility in managing a small caseload

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for each student on your caseload
• Provide direct instruction in accordance with best practices and state standards
• Track and report progress, adapting strategies to foster student growth and achievement
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate inclusive learning environments
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and goals
• Maintain documentation in compliance with local and federal regulations
