The Kingdom East School District Student Services is seeking two full‑time Instructional Assistants to work at the Burke Town School in classrooms ranging from early elementary to middle school (ages 5‑14). These positions become available in the 2026‑2027 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers and special education case managers in delivering instructional and behavioral strategies.
• Provide care and support to children to promote academic, social, emotional and behavioral growth.
• Assist students with special learning needs and support independent educational skill acquisition.
• Work under the direction of the school administrator and the Director of Student Services.
• Support specialized instruction and other supports for students as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be energetic and passionate about working with children.
• Experience serving children with special learning needs, or desire to support them.
• Must successfully complete the Para Pro assessment or possess a higher degree.
• Background check, including fingerprinting, required upon employment.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• High School or trade school degree preferred.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is 18.50 to 25.34 per hour.
