Job Description

The Windham Southwest Supervisory Union is seeking a School Psychologist to join our team. It is a great place to work with immediate access to incredible outdoor activities such as watersports on Harriman Reservoir and snow sports on many local mountains. Our students benefit from this location as well, with many programs embedded in our curriculum that allow for outdoor activities in the Vermont landscape during the school day.

The School Psychologist will complete comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to assess students’ educational strengths and needs, and also to assist in determining special education eligibility. The psychologist should have a strong understanding of special education rules and regulations. The psychologist will evaluate students, interpret evaluation findings, write evaluation reports, and provide recommendations for appropriate educational interventions. These evaluations may include assessments of cognitive functioning, educational achievement, social/emotional/behavioral functioning, adaptive functioning, executive functioning, memory, attention, interpretation of MTSS intervention/progress monitoring data and other related responsibilities.

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000 to $95,000 Per Year

Job Requirements
  • The School Psychologist must be able to work collaboratively with case managers, teachers, administrators, parents and other professionals, be able to organize and prioritize their schedule, and meet all compliance deadlines.
  • The School Psychologist shall be licensed as a psychologist by the State of Vermont Board of Psychological Examiners and by the Vermont Agency of Education as a School Psychologist.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
