Two Rivers Supervisory Union is looking for a dynamic Special Education teacher to work with students at Green Mountain Union High School. This is a full time position for the  school year.

The Special Educator will work with a multi‑disciplinary team of professionals to meet the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.

• Provide life skills instruction
• Provide direct instruction in reading to individuals and small groups based on student needs and IEP goals.
• Conduct assessments to inform instruction and track student progress in reading development.
• Design and implement effective learning strategies tailored to students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success.
• Support the development and implementation of IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Utilize technology and current educational tools to enhance reading instruction.
• Stay informed about current trends and research in reading instruction and special education.

• Excellent communication skills including interpersonal, written and oral.
• Knowledge of curriculum modification based on understanding of learning theory and pedagogy practices in basic skill areas of reading, writing, language, and mathematics.
• Strong knowledge of reading development, intervention strategies, and best practices.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
• Knowledge and skills regarding Individual Education Plan (IEP) development.

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,140 to $95,940 Per Year
