Shelburne Community School (SCS) is seeking an energetic, caring, and dedicated individual to join our general education team as a Non-Intensive Para educator (Anticipated, 0.6 FTE) starting the school year. The successful candidate will join our K–8 teams to help create a welcoming, friendly, and growth‑minded environment that ensures the best educational opportunities for all students.
In this role, you will work closely with licensed professionals and staff to provide vital classroom support, foster student independence, and ensure the overall smooth functioning of our academic programs.

Primary Responsibilities- Working directly with individual students and small groups both in and outside of the classroom to promote academic and behavioral growth.
- Supporting instructional activities developed and adjusted by designated professional staff.
- Helping students stay on track as they transition between classrooms and different activities, ensuring full participation in all school life.
- Fulfilling daily supervision requirements, including lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal transitions.
- Acting as a positive team member and strong collaborator with teachers, staff, families, and related service providers to ensure instructional continuity.
- Collecting and sharing student data with appropriate educational personnel, and carrying out school and district policies with high levels of professional integrity.
- A strong belief in inclusive education and a desire to be a contributing member of a safe, positive, and welcoming learning environment.
- Demonstrated poise, patience, and a dynamic approach to daily challenges where student support needs may change day‑to‑day.
- The ability to establish excellent professional rapport and serve as a dedicated advocate for K–8 students and staff.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a collaborative, collegial attitude.

Salary: $21.12 to $23.03 Per Hour
