Non-Intensive Para educator (SpEd, up to 3 positions) Needed.

Hinesburg Community School (HCS) is seeking up to 3 energetic Non-Intensive Paraeducators to join our special education team starting the school year. The successful candidates will help create a welcoming, friendly, and growth‑minded environment that ensures the best educational opportunities for all students.
In this role, they will work with licensed professionals and staff to provide support for individual and small groups of students in academic areas, personal development/behavior, and social cognition while fostering overall student independence.
Primary Responsibilities- Supporting instructional and behavioral activities developed and adjusted by designated professionals.
- Collecting and sharing student data with the appropriate educational personnel.
- Supervising students during assigned duties, including lunch, recess, and before/after school transitions.
- Fostering student independence to ensure full participation in all school activities.
- Collaborating with staff and related service providers to ensure instructional continuity.
- Providing student support on bus routes and offering substitute coverage as assigned.
- Participating in team meetings upon request.
- Carrying out school and district policies with high levels of professional integrity.
- A strong desire to be a contributing member of a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- The ability to establish professional rapport and serve as a dedicated advocate for students and staff.
- Exceptional organizational skills, a problem‑solving mindset, and a flexible approach to supporting student needs.
- Demonstrated poise, patience, and a willingness to learn when guiding students through daily school activities.
- The physical ability to meet job requirements, which may include lifting.
