Anticipated - Intensive Paraeducators - FTE

Intensive Para educator (Anticipated, up to 2 positions)

Position:
Full-time (2.00 FTE) intensive para educator in Pre‑K to 8th grade at Shelburne Community School (SCS) for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Shelburne Community School

This position will remain open until filled. Applications received within the first seven days of posting receive priority consideration. Internal candidates are also prioritized over external applicants during this initial seven‑day window.

Primary Responsibilities

• Providing direct, intensive support for students in multi‑layered curriculum or curriculum overlapping.
• Facilitating communication, behavioral support, and activities of daily living across various school settings for students in the Pre‑K to 8th grade school.
• Promoting child growth by fostering independence and self‑advocacy.
• Collaborating closely with the special education team and classroom teachers to align support with student needs.
• Supporting students during transitions, which may include the bus ride to and/or from school.
• Thriving within a teaming environment, working independently when needed while maintaining high levels of collaboration.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues regarding student progress and instructional goals.

Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Benefits and Salary

This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package based upon qualifications, education, and experience.
Salary: $24.12 to $26.03 per hour.
