Discover a rewarding contract opportunity making a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special needs. Multiple positions are available, supporting elementary, middle, and high school classrooms dedicated to providing specialized education for students with autism and those who have experienced trauma. Through a self-contained classroom environment, you'll deliver individualized instruction, foster social-emotional development, and create a supportive space for your students to grow.
We are seeking passionate educational professionals eager to serve in the following roles:
Positions available:
- Elementary Autism Class (K-5):
Serve up to 6 students in a self-contained setting focused on autism support. - Middle School Therapeutic Kids Classroom (Grades 6-8):
Support up to 10 students, all of whom may have experienced trauma, in a self-contained therapeutic learning environment. - High School Therapeutic Kids Classroom (Grades 9-12):
Guide and support a group of up to 12 students, providing trauma-informed education in a self-contained classroom.
- Valid Special Education Teacher credentials as required by state regulations
- Previous experience working with students diagnosed with autism and/or students affected by trauma
- Deep understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and appropriate instructional modifications
- Ability to collaborate closely with families, school staff, and other support professionals
- Compassionate, patient, and resilient mindset, with strong classroom management skills
- Design and implement individualized lesson plans
- Foster a nurturing and structured environment to support students' academic, social, and emotional needs
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure students' progress and welfare
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and caregivers
Compensation for this position ranges from $26.93 to $46.93. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here . This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
