Job DescriptionMilton Town School District seeks a skilled Special Needs Programming Specialist to join our dynamic, fast‑paced, student‑centered high school‑level teams. The role requires a Bachelor’s level education or demonstrated competencies, and experience delivering instruction to students with intensive needs and/or speech and language impairment. Candidates must demonstrate competencies after receiving formal training, and attain working knowledge of assistive technology devices and augmentative communication approaches.
The specialist will work effectively as a team member in an active, fast‑paced setting and support students in the classroom, workplace, and community.

Responsibilitiesand Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; must demonstrate required competencies.
- Experience delivering instruction to students with intensive needs and/or speech and language impairment.
- Training and competency in assistive technology devices and augmentative communication approaches.
- Ability to work well as a team member and support students in classroom, workplace, and community settings.
- Must meet Highly Qualified status.
- At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
