Frog&Toad, a play and nature-based Early Education Program, seeks a Lead Preschool Teacher to help grow its curriculum and deliver engaging learning experiences for children ages 0-5.
Responsibilities- Uphold state and school policies.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
- Deliver approved curriculum.
- Communicate positively and professionally with families and co‑workers.
- Provide loving care to the children.
- Complete child observations and developmental profiles.
- Create age‑appropriate curriculum.
- Meet the state requirements for Lead Preschool Teacher as outlined by the Child Development Division.
- Will accept a variance from the Division with a concise plan to meet qualifications if under‑qualified.
- Hard‑working, dependable, and a team player.
- Willing to advance academically as required by the annual state training requirement.
- Experience working with larger groups of children.
Vacation: each full‑time staff member is entitled to one week paid vacation (5 days) after the first year of service.
Sick Time: each employee is entitled to one week paid sick time after the probationary period.
Vision: full vision coverage after 90 days.
Dental: full dental coverage after 90 days.
Hospitalization benefit: if an employee declines vision and dental insurance after their 90‑day waiting period they receive an additional $0.25 in hourly wages.
Medical savings plan and simple IRA program: after 2 years of service, full‑time employees are eligible to participate.
Holidays: entitlement to eight paid holidays per year (New Years, Memorial, Independence, Labor, Thanksgiving, Friday before Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve, and Christmas).
Professional Days: additional paid vacation days as per the school closing calendar.
Paid Professional Development: up to 15 paid hours of professional development each year.
Paid Volunteer Time: 2 paid volunteer days each year.
Roving Holiday: one paid holiday of choice each year.
Cash Bonuses: hourly pay rate bonuses at 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of service.
Referral Program: $350.00 for each new client or staff member brought in via referral (conditions apply).
Discounted Child Care Tuition: 50% discount for full‑time employees with children at Frog&Toad (restrictions apply).
Paid Travel: paid for travel outside of the normal commute for training purposes.
Healthy Lifestyle: $100.00 annually for activities such as new sneakers, state park passes, fishing license, massage, etc.
Telehealth and Teletherapy: entitlement as a benefit that works with or without other health insurance.
