Hyde Park Elementary School is searching for two Special Education Paraeducators to join our team in Hyde Park, Vermont. The successful candidate will be a caring and collaborative para educator to work within our joyful community of learners.

Starting Date: Immediately

• Assist in the educational and social development of learners under the direction and guidance of the special educator and classroom teachers.
• Assist in supporting learners’ Individual Education Plans under the direction of the classroom teacher and special educator.
• Provide support for the individual, small group, and classroom-size groups of learners inside and outside the classroom.
• Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists and student support staff.
• Assist and partner with classroom teachers to meet the needs of each individual.
• Use positive supports for learners with emotional or behavioral needs.

• Participate in professional learning opportunities as designated.
• Perform all duties as assigned.
• Enjoy and collaborate within a learner-centered team environment.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• High School or Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

LNSU provides a generous compensation and benefit package. Position type:
Full-time. Salary: $22 to $28 per hour.
