Job Description
Lunenburg Elementary School, serving children in kindergarten through grade 5, seeks a long-term substitute teacher. Experience with literacy, workshop model, reading and writing units of study, collaboration, positive behavior interventions, and Responsive Classroom would be beneficial. We seek a creative, passionate teacher who loves children. A sense of humor and genuine love for working with young people is necessary. The individual must be a team player who will work together with colleagues, special educators, and interventionists.
There will be an opportunity to work alongside our current 3-5 Humanities teacher before the role moves to the solo long-term substitute position. The pay range for this position is $46,267–$89,467.
Lunenburg Elementary School is part of the Kingdom East School District, located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK‑8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools – Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy – or another high school of their choosing.
