Middle School and High School Mathematics Teacher (Math & Science Preferred) Job Description

Okemo Mountain School is a winter term ski and snowboard academy located in Ludlow, VT. We are a small, close‑knit school community with a diverse teaching staff. Our student‑to‑teacher ratio is 2:1, providing individualized instruction, personalized learning experiences, and an optimum learning environment. We offer professional development, training opportunities, and value a healthy school environment.

We are seeking a high‑school and middle‑school Mathematics teacher. While we place teachers based on their strengths, it is helpful if the candidate can teach a variety of grade levels and math content areas. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree. Prior teaching experience and advanced degrees are a plus.

The academic year runs from November 2026 to April 2027, and the school day is 12:00‑5:45 pm. Applicants must demonstrate knowledge in Mathematics, have excellent oral and written communication skills, use an integrated approach to curriculum and instruction, be flexible and creative regarding instruction and assessment, be tech‑savvy, and establish rapport with students and parents. Candidates must be highly motivated, organized, and able to multitask.
