Para educator Position at Camels Hump Middle School

The Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District (MMUUSD) is seeking dedicated and compassionate para educators to support students at Camels Hump Middle School (CHMS) in Richmond, Vermont.

Paraeducators play a vital role in ensuring that all students, including those with adverse learning needs, have the support they need to succeed. By working alongside teachers and special educators, you will help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.

What You'll Do

• Assist classroom teachers with instruction and activities.
• Work collaboratively with team of educators
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
• Assist students with accessing curriculum at their grade level
• Support students who may need sensory and/or movement breaks
• Help maintain a safe and positive learning experience.
• Support students during classroom activities, transitions, and recess.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to educators.
• Participate in professional development activities.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to build strong relationships with students
• Follow and execute clear plans for students for both academics and behavior
• Experience working with middle school children, preferably in an educational setting - we'll train you!
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in student success.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Background check required.
