Eden Central School is anticipating the need for a caring and collaborative para educator to work within our joyful community of learners. The ideal candidate will assist in the educational and social development of learners under the direction and guidance of special educators and classroom teachers.

• Assist in supporting learners’ Individual Education Plans under the direction of the classroom teacher and special educator.
• Provide support for individuals, small groups, and classroom-size groups of learners inside and outside the classroom.
• Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists, student support, occupational and physical therapists, to support learners.
• Assist and partner with classroom teachers to meet the needs of each individual.
• Use positive supports for learners with emotional or behavioral needs.

• Participate in all professional learning opportunities as designated.
• Perform all duties as assigned.
• Enjoy and collaborate within a learner-centered team environment.

• Candidate must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and either two years of higher education or evidence of passing the Para Pro Assessment. Pay based on experience and education.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
