The Sheldon Elementary School is seeking a committed and dynamic Long‑Term Grade 4 Substitute Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators starting August 18, 2026 through November 20, 2026. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to provide equitable, inclusive, personalized learning opportunities for all students. In FNESU, educators facilitate learning by using assessment data to provide feedback to learners, personalize instruction, and allow for self‑paced opportunities to develop and demonstrate proficiency.

Franklin Northeast Supervisory Union (FNESU) is a Pre‑K‑12 system comprised of six rural towns in Northern Vermont—Bakersfield, Berkshire, Enosburg, Montgomery, Richford, and Sheldon. It includes six elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, and one technical career center, serving approximately 1,950 students. FNESU is situated in rural northwestern Vermont, a setting ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. It is 20 miles from Jay Peak Resort, 32 miles from Smuggler's Notch, and within driving distance to several other ski resorts.

Activities include hiking, swimming, cross‑country skiing, snowmobiling, and mountain biking. It is an hour from Burlington and an hour and a half from Montreal.

• Hold a current VT Teaching License with the proper endorsement.
• At least two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• Long‑Term Substitute Teachers are paid the B, Step 1 per diem daily rate of $280.75 per day.
