Job DescriptionThe Richford Elementary School is seeking a committed and dynamic STEM Teacher (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) for the 2026‑2027 school year. The ideal candidate will bring strong content knowledge in science and engineering and thrive in a collaborative, team‑driven environment. They will design and deliver a hands‑on, project‑based curriculum that sparks curiosity, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills in grades K‑5, use data to inform instruction, and create an inclusive space where every child grows academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging, hands‑on STEM and engineering curriculum for grades K‑5 as part of the Unified Arts rotation.
- Lead students through the engineering design process, facilitating challenges that encourage trial, error, iteration, and teamwork.
- Utilize strong science content knowledge to ground projects in foundational scientific concepts, making complex ideas accessible and exciting for elementary students.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to connect STEM projects with grade‑level math, science, literacy, and social studies concepts.
- Team‑Based Instructional Model – Teachers co‑plan and team‑teach many content areas, working closely with colleagues, interventionists, specialists, and para educators to design integrated instruction that meets diverse student needs.
- Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) – A data‑informed approach to instruction ensures every student receives the right level of support to succeed.
- Strong Student Support Team – Collaboration with behavior specialists, school counselors, and administrators supports academic and social‑emotional growth.
- Leader in Me School – Leadership development and life skills are embedded into daily learning, helping students grow as confident, responsible individuals.
- Professional Growth & Mentorship – FNESU and RES offer mentorship, coaching, targeted professional learning, and a supportive administration to help educators refine their craft and grow professionally.

Job Requirements- Must hold a current Vermont teaching license with the proper endorsement.
