Part Time Faculty Introduction to Construction Drawing

Position Overview

The School of STEM Department of Engineering Technology at Vermont State University invites applications for a Part‑Time teaching position for Fall
2026 (Aug
24‑Dec
18,2026). The course to be taught is ARE
1011 – Introduction to Construction Drawing, which includes 6 hours of studio laboratory instruction per week at VTSU Randolph Campus.

The course covers basic instruction in architectural and engineering construction graphics utilizing hand drawing equipment and CAD software, and introduces residential construction materials. Students develop a set of drawings for a small residence in keeping with contemporary office practices.

• Deliver studio laboratory instruction for ARE
  1011 on a weekly basis.
• Design and prepare instructional materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
• Provide timely feedback and grading for student work.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student communications.
• Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum and program development.

• Master’s degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Teaching experience at the college level is preferable.

Salary is based on credits previously taught, in accordance with the VSC‑VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
