The Mountain Sports Training Supervisor is responsible for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of all staff training and development programs within the Mountain Sports School. This role ensures alignment with PSIA-AASI standards while driving consistency in lesson quality, safety practices, and guest experience. The Training Supervisor plays a critical role in risk management by developing safety protocols, supporting incident review processes, and tracking injury trends to inform training priorities.
Summaryof
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a comprehensive seasonal training plan across all disciplines
- Align training with PSIA-AASI standards, LCM, and Assessment Criteria
- Develop structured progression pathways for instructors
- Lead on-snow and indoor training sessions
- Provide structured feedback using movement analysis and SBI model
- Mentor instructors and supervisors
- Develop and maintain safety guidelines and SOPs
- Lead preseason and ongoing safety training
- Track and monitor all staff injuries and workers’ compensation cases
- Analyze injury trends and develop prevention strategies
- Participate in post-incident reviews and return-to-work planning
- Collaborate with supervisors on operational alignment
- Observe lessons and provide quality feedback
- Track training participation and certification outcomes
- Support mountain bike and offseason training programs
- PSIA-AASI Level III minimum (PSIA AASI ED Staff preferred)
- 3–5+ years of experience in instruction, coaching, or training
- Experience in staff development and training delivery
