Eden Central School is seeking a caring and collaborative para educator to work within our joyful community of learners. The ideal candidate will:
- Assist in the educational and social development of learners under the direction and guidance of the special educator and classroom teachers.
- Help support learners Individual Education Plans under the direction of the classroom teacher and special educator.
- Provide support for the individual, small group, and classroom size groups of learners inside and outside the classroom.
- Work with other professionals, such as speech therapist, student support, occupational and physical therapists to support learners.
- Assist and partner with classroom teachers to meet the needs of each individual.
- Use positive supports for learners with emotional or behavioral needs.
In Addition, the ideal candidate will:
- Participate in all professional learning opportunities as designated.
- Perform all duties as assigned.
- Enjoy and collaborate within a learner-centered team environment.
