Qualifications and Desired

Experience:
  • Active teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain in Vermont)
  • Demonstrated experience in early childhood special education settings
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Skill in adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
  • Confident with behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging, individualized lessons and instructional plans based on each student’s unique needs
  • Conduct assessments and leverage data to inform instruction and monitor progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and interventions
