Special Education Teacher - Jericho, Vermont

Support K-4 students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role designed for dedicated educators passionate about helping young learners thrive. Preferred Qualifications &

Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with K-4 elementary students
• Familiarity with both push-in and pull-out service models
• Strong collaboration skills for partnering with general and special education colleagues
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Compassion, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver special education services to K-4 students, using push-in and pull-out methods based on student needs
• Develop and monitor IEPs, ensuring goals are measurable and progress is tracked regularly
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support the integration of accommodations and modifications
• Maintain open communication with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
• Participate in student progress meetings, annual reviews, and eligibility conferences as required
• Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Maintain required documentation and comply with all district, state, and federal guidelines
