Special Education Teacher - Ludlow, VT

• Full-time, 40 hours per week contract role
• Elementary school caseload
• Immediate start, position runs through the end of the school year
• Collaborate closely with school staff and families

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure each students learning goals are met
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to accommodate varied student needs
• Modify curriculum and classroom activities as required for accessibility
• Track student progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Partner with general education teachers for inclusive practices and collaborative planning
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress and strategies for support
• Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development activities

• State certification in Special Education (or eligibility)
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting highly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP process and compliance requirements
• Ability to adapt to varying student needs and learning styles
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
