Otter Valley Union Middle and High School seeking a floating substitute to begin August 2026. Schedule follows the student calendar, 7 hours per day, $18.00/hr.

• Implement teacher-provided instructional activities that contribute to a positive environment to assist students to be actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences
• Provide classroom behavior and academic support to meet the needs of all students
• Collaborate with the instructional teams concerning student educational needs as needed.
• Maintain connection and communication with cooperating teachers.
• Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students to ensure that students complete coursework in a timely manner
• Assist students with technical support requests that emerge in the classroom
• Support a variety of programs and software applications, as appropriate, to complete instructional and administrative tasks
• Participate in PD or training as scheduled by building administrator
• Take accurate attendance using school procedures
• Monitor and supervise students to ensure appropriate adherence to school-wide protocols
• Refer students who are not complying with course, content, or program policies to the planning room or administration for necessary interventions. Notify cooperating/collaborating teachers.
• Know and follow general school wide emergency procedures and those that are specific to a classroom setting.
• Implement accommodations and supports as described by the classroom teacher in substitute plans.

• Other duties as assigned by the Principal, including clerical and student supervision, if classroom coverage is not needed.
• Substitute coverage in other buildings as requested by the Principal.

High School Diploma

• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $18 to $18 Per Hour
