Job DescriptionThe Kingdom East School District, Student Services, is seeking a long-term substitute for an Intensive Instructional Assistant (IIA). The duration of the long-term substitute position is approximately March 4th until April 27th. The candidate must be energetic and love working and playing with children ages 3 to 14 years old. The IIA position's purpose is to develop and interpret individual needs of students with disabilities by helping to create and implement behavior and/or instructional support programs with consultation with special educators and teachers.
Candidates must successfully complete the Para Pro assessment or higher degree. The IIA provides observable student data that meet the IEP Program or EST goals of students with developmental delay and/or other special needs. Position will target goal-directive services to assist students in accessing instruction in a developmentally appropriate, functional and independent manner. Background check, including fingerprinting required upon employment.
The pay range for this position is currently $19.95/hr.
-$25.80/hr.
Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.
