Essex Westford School District (EWSD) has an opportunity for a full-time Individual Assistant to support an intensive special needs student enrolled at Founders Memorial School (grades 3-5).

Candidates with prior medical assistance or nursing experience are encouraged to apply! This position is also fantastic for candidates interested in a medical assistant career and seeking an opportunity to grow and build their skills.

Primary job duties include but are not limited to, the following:

• Implement the program developed by the IEP team.
• Assist in the informal assessments to determine student progress and needs.
• Participate in various community activities and field trips with students.
• Assist students as needed with toileting, eating, wheelchair transport, transfer, and other needs as identified by the student's specific plan.
• Supervise student(s) when the teacher is absent from the room.
