Job DescriptionThe Waits River Valley School, a Prekindergarten through eighth grade school serving the communities of Topsham and Corinth , is seeking a middle school science teacher starting in the school year.
A teacher is responsible for creating a flexible middle school science program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. The ideal candidate will work to establish effective rapport with students, to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education in accordance with each student’s ability, and to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.
Salary Range:
The anticipated annual salary for this role is $46,738 – $90,067, based on experience, level of education. Compensation is determined by the district’s collective bargaining agreement, which considers factors such as degree level and years of service.

The Waits River Valley School is a unified school district (USD#36), serving the communities of Topsham and Corinth. While approximately 250 students currently attend our K-8 school, our approximately 140 High School students attend various High Schools, given our unique school choice status. - Vermont licensure as an elementary/middle school teacher or the ability to become licensed.
