What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Lead and oversee federal, state, and local permitting as well as NEPA compliance for mining and energy projects
  • Act as the primary contact for government agencies and private sector clients, including mining companies and developers
  • Coordinate and guide multidisciplinary teams through research, technical document preparation, and client engagement
  • Drive marketing and business development efforts to expand the employer’s presence in the Mountain West
  • Represent the employer at national and state mining conferences to showcase technical expertise
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 12+ years of experience with environmental reviews, mine permitting, or NEPA project management
  • Proven ability to manage or prepare environmental permitting and NEPA documentation
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Department of the Interior and Mountain West States regulations
  • Direct experience securing environmental permits and reviewing technical studies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline
  • 10+ years managing environmental permitting and NEPA documentation
  • Recent hands‑on experience with relevant regulations and policies
  • Expertise in pre‑NEPA activities such as surveys and data collection
  • Proven success in crafting business growth strategies for mining clients
