Key Responsibilities- Design and develop PCBs and circuits for LED lighting fixtures and DC-DC LED drivers
- Design and develop controllers using the latest industry microcontrollers (STM
32, Atmel, TI, and others) - Develop electronic test fixtures (bed-of-nails) and write hardware test procedures
- Create and maintain wiring and assembly documents for production floor
- Use standard lab probing and troubleshooting test equipment
- Build and test prototype hardware
- Review PCB layouts and coordinate with contract manufacturers
- Research electronic parts and work with sourcing
- Become a technical resource for internal departments or external end-users
- Collaborate with the engineering team, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers, to ensure successful project outcomes
- Document research findings, design specifications, and test results
- Organize and maintain engineering lab space(s)
- Organize and maintain digital component libraries and physical inventory for R&D
- International travel, approximately 5 days per year
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience
- Experience with Altium Designer, or comparable schematic capture software
- Experience with hands-on soldering, assembling, and debugging electronics
- Experience with microcontrollers and firmware development
- Experience with DC-DC converters, LED drivers, or related hardware
- Familiarity with machine vision software tools and libraries (e.g., OpenCV) a plus
- Familiarity with Solid Works or other 3D mechanical CAD software a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Self-starting with ability to work independently
- Good organizational and time management skills
