V Senior Authorised Person

Location: UK – Remote with Travel

Join a leading player in the offshore renewables sector as a 400kV Senior Authorised Person
, where you’ll take the lead in ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of high-voltage systems up to 400kV. This is a key opportunity to apply your expertise in HV safety, operations, and compliance while supporting the growth of critical renewable infrastructure.

In this role, you’ll be the go‑to technical authority for high‑voltage activities, from switching and outage coordination to safety documentation and troubleshooting. Working closely with operational teams and engineering management, you’ll help drive best practice, mentor colleagues, and embed a strong safety culture across all projects.

• Act as subject matter expert for 400kV HV operations and maintenance.
• Perform SAP duties, including outage planning, switching, safety documentation, and demarcation.
• Provide hands‑on guidance, troubleshooting, and technical oversight.
• Work with SAPs and Engineering leadership to maintain asset integrity and operational excellence.
• Support safe, effective delivery of HV works in collaboration with project and engineering teams.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and problem‑solving on complex HV issues.
• Contribute to monitoring and reporting of HV safety performance.
• Serve as an Authorised Person under the Electrical Safety Management System.
• Support authorisation panels, training programmes, and compliance with HV safety rules.

• Extensive experience as an Authorised Person on 400kV HV systems.
• Strong background in HV operations, maintenance, and safety management.
• Familiarity with UK Electricity at Work Regulations or equivalent HV safety standards.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative approach.
